Summer Lovin' Cards!

Hi everyone!  Today I am sharing a trio of cards using the fun and fabulous Summer Lovin' collection from Carta Bella! I love this collection because of the colors!  The color palette is perfect for summer fun- teal, pink, lime, and salmon.  Summer Lovin' is full of great patterned papers and the sticker elements are just perfect!    This collection is great for every kind of summer themed crafting, especially cards!

I love this collection for a number of reasons and flamingo is just one of them.  (It might very well be my favorite element sticker in the collection!)  On all of the cards, including this one, I used the journaling card patterned paper to use as the frames on my cards.  I cut apart the journaling cards and then I fussy cut out the middles and adhered the frames to the embossed backgrounds with foam adhesive for  dimension.

I love using one collection to make a handful of cards at one time.  Working with a single collection makes the process quick and easy.  I especially love that this collection includes some solids in it as well so I didn't even have to dig out any cardstock!

As you can see, all of the element stickers are just perfect so easily creating a trio of cards.  And I easily could have created many more from this one collection as well!   I finished all of the cards off with just a few matching rhinestone stickers from my stash.
Summer Lovin' is perfect for not just cards, but every other kind of summer paper crafting project from layouts to party goods!  Be sure to add a little Summer Lovin' to your scrapbook collection!   You will not be disappointed!
Have a great day!
Hugs!

Adding detail to die cuts

Good day all!  Today I am sharing how I took the wafer thin metal die from the Pink Paislee Hello Sunshine Stamps and Die set and put my own spin on it!  The umbrella was simply adorable on it's own, but I took things a couple steps farther and added some detail!  I think Mary Poppins would be proud! (wink wink!)

And I was having so much fun with the umbrellas, I wanted to turn things upside down a bit!

Here is how you too can add some added detail to your single layer die cuts!
First I used my Big Shot and the umbrella die to cut out 2 umbrellas.  I chose one solid color for the base and a fun floral pattern for detail on the umbrella top.

I hand trimmed a small margin off of the entire umbrella top.

I now have the base and the umbrella top.

I traced the floral umbrella top onto teal polka dot patterned paper and cut out a second umbrella top. I then drew 2 arches with pencil on the teal paper where I want to cut it.

I then trimmed the 2 sides off of the teal polka dot paper.  I now have my black umbrella base, the floral umbrella top, and the teal accent piece.

And layered together and adhered with foam adhesive for dimension!  I want a real umbrella that is this stinkin' cute!

All of the supplies used were Pink Paislee's Hello Sunshine collection!  Be sure to check it out! I am sure you will fall in love with it like I did!  Have a great day!

Happy Cards!

Good day everyone!  I absolutely LOVE the Rough & Tumble collection by Carta Bella so I decided to raid my stash and pull it back out! I love the color palette- the red, navy, gold, and a little pop of teal thrown in!  This collection is also fabulous for boy cards!

There's the card for the boy that is definitely a star!

There's the card that is for the birthday boy!

And, last but not least, there's the card for the best buddy!

So go ahead and pull out your Rough & Tumble collection again!  I know you will enjoy creating with this fabulous collection again as much as I did!  Thanks for stopping in and have a great day!
