It's A Boy Pocket Page!

Hello! Good day everyone! Today I am excited to show off the new Carta Bella It’s a Boy Pocket Page Kit! I love this kit because I put together this sweet baby boy pocket so quickly. It includes all the basics you need for creating fabulous pocket page layouts (3x4 cards, 4x6 cards, enamel dots, die cut pieces, patterned papers, and pocket pages)! Can you believe I created this page with nothing but the It’s a Boy Pocket Page kit and photos?! I sure did!

I seriously can’t get enough of this sweet little turtle card- that turtle is just so cute! I added an enamel dot and die cut piece and my card was cutely decorated in no time!

This might be my favorite pocket of this layout. I made a 3x4 inch background from the patterned papers included in the kit and added a star die cut to my photo. So simple, but oh-so-darling!

For this pocket, I added a die cut heart piece right over the ruler to document how long Michael was when he was born, which was 20 ½”.

Cute doesn’t even begin to describe the little animals in this kit. They are all beyond adorable, especially this cute lion guy! I added a couple enamel dots and a die cut piece to my pocket. Just like that the pocket is embellished! You can see the entire Carta Bella It's A Boy Pocket Page collection (including dies and chipboard) here

Thanks for joining me! I hope you have a great day!

This spring layout has me in stitches!

Today I am sharing a spring themed layout made with Echo Park's fresh and fun Spring Collection. I love the colorful palette of this darling collection. It is just perfect for any spring project, card, or layout. I am in love with hand stitching these days, so I embellished my favorite stickers (the banner and sun) with embroidery floss to make them stand out.

I first stitched each of the ‘spring’ banner pieces with coordinating colors of embroidery floss. I then adhered the banner in place with foam adhesive. I adhered a couple pastel pink mini buttons to the flower sticker with Glossy Accents and tucked it under the banner’s end.

I then hand stitched the rays of sunshine on the background paper and adhered the sun sticker using foam adhesive. I ran the bicycle ephemera piece through my computer printer to make it my journaling card. A sweet little yellow bow finishes off the layout.

Echo Park's Spring Collection is the perfect thing for chasing away the winter blues. I can’t wait to use this cheerful collection to document all of my spring activities!

Cut it Up Saturday! - Paper Issues

Good day friends! Here is my take on the Cut It Up Saturday Challenge over at Paper Issues! Be sure to head over to the Paper Issues blog today for free love inspired and heart cut files! I used just one of the hearts and repeated it to create my heart line design. I also used the gorgeous Bella Blvd Valentina line available in the Paper Issues store here!

I am seriously in love with this heart shape! I just copy and pasted it in the Silhouette software to create my lines. Super easy! I backed the cut out with the red kisses patterned paper. Swoon!

Layered papers from the collection behind my photo.

And I seriously can not get enough of the alphabet from the coordinating Valentina sticker sheet! It is just soooo cool!  Thanks for joining me! And don't forget! Head over to the Paper Issues blog today to grab the free die cuts!

Ombre Fun with Bella Blvd

Since Valentine's Day is fast approaching, I wanted to work on a love inspired layout and the Bella Blvd Valentina collection is perfect! I am also still loving the ombre effect so I had to use the ombre patterned paper from this collection. You will love this paper. It does not disappoint! You can find it and the Bella Blvd Valentina collection in the Paper Issues store right here

Who noticed that I embroidered around the edge of the layout in an ombre effect that matches the patterned paper? Yes, it did take some extra time and I felt a little crazy! But I am so happy with the way it turned out!

The Valentina collection also has a coordinating sticker sheet that has fun shaped stickers to finish off a layout. I just added foam adhesive under the ones I wanted to pop up a bit.

I layered pieces from the collection with a tilted photo to add interest to the page.

The font on the alphabet sheet is oh-so-fun too!

Thanks for joining me today! I hope I have inspired you to try an ombre effect on your next layout!
If you do any shopping at the Paper Issues store, please use my code (Tegan) to receive 20% off your purchase. All Domestic orders of $60 or more also receive free shipping! I know from shopping at Paper Issues that they also ship orders out very fast!
Thanks again and have a GREAT day!

Paper Issues is up with a brand new Issue and it's called Showered with Love! Playing along with their Issues are always so much fun! You can find the details here. I focused on the love portion of the Issue for my layout. I used the beautiful Hello Love collection by Crate Paper, which is available here in the Paper Issues store. (Use code Tegan to save 20% off your entire order!) And I also added fun ribbon and materials from The Ribbon Resource by May Arts. Be sure to check them out too- they have lots of great fibers! And a HUGE Thank You to The Ribbon Resource for sponsoring our Issue over at Paper Issues!

I added a bit of the reversible polka dot black and white ribbon down the side here. I love the added texture ribbon adds to a layout.

I had lots of fun making circles with the red burlap string

The pink adhesive sequin heart ribbon is fabulous as well!

Thanks for stopping in today! I hope I have inspired you to use fun fibers on your next layout!
