Honor Your Guy with a Layout!

Hello everyone! I am excited to show off the brand new Echo Park Paper Pinstripes collection. It is the perfect masculine collection that can be used for both boy projects and projects about your favorite man! I love the mix of globes, stars, and woodgrain in this fun, yet rugged guy-inspired collection.

The brand new Echo Park Paper foiled papers are a must have! You can see here that the gold stars on this star patterned paper are foiled! The foiling adds just the perfect amount of pizzazz to this masculine collection.

I had fun layering some different patterned papers with the ephemera die cuts and stickers to create the main element for my photo. And notice that the collection is a perfect fit to what my hubby is wearing!

The alphabet stickers from this collection are so much fun! I used my Silhouette Cameo to die cut the word “GUY” from the red striped patterned paper using the Aharoni font. I stretched the “U” horizontally a little to add some interest to my title. I finished off the title with enamel dots, an arrow sticker, and the rocket sticker. I love the way it turned out!

I added some journaling to the die cut journaling tag with my antique typewriter. I adhered the mustache sticker to it with foam adhesive and added an enamel dot. Super easy and cute! The Pinstripes collection is perfect for documenting that special man- or boy- in your life!

Other supplies:

Girly Happy Birthday Card

Hello!  Today I am showing off the gorgeous new Petticoats collection! Doilies and flowers and pinks…oh my! This bright, fun collection is perfect for any kind of girl project you can think of!

I started out using the Doily #3 die to make a doily using solid yellow paper. I then hand cut it down the middle so that each half would stick out of each side of my card design. I then layered ephemera pieces (floral tag, birthday sentiment), twine, and chipboard pieces (scallop, ‘adorable’ sentiment) to create the main element. The coordinating enamel dots finish it off beautifully!

I then used the flower from the Sweet Girl Die Set to create a 3D flower embellishment. I die cut two flowers from the same pink patterned paper. I gently turned the leaves up on one flower and adhered only the middle of it to the second flower. Layering the flowers like this is so easy and adds a fun effect to any project!
Thanks for joining me today!  I hope I have inspired you to die cut more and have fun with it!  And with the Petticoats collection, now is the perfect time to create some beautiful cards!

Take Time to Document Yourself

Good day everyone! I know as a scrapbooker I am always the one behind the camera taking photos and documenting the life around me. I decided to turn the camera around for once and photograph myself during a recent splurge at Starbucks. And the Simple Stories Life in Color collection was just perfect for this page all about myself. Loving the Life in Color collection as much as I do? You can find all the Simple Stories collections in the Paper Issues store!

I absolutely LOVE the Life in Color chipboard frames! I had so much fun layering the frames with chipboard pieces and photos. And this small floral patterned paper is one of my favorites of the collection.

I can't say enough good things about the chipboard frames! The package contains frames of all different sizes, shapes, and patterns. So much fun!

I added journaling to the inside of one of the frames. I then layered this frame with chipboard pieces and enamel dots. I have decided one can never have too many enamel dots! They are the perfect accent embellishment.

I then added chipboard hearts and matching enamel dots over the painted patches on the wood grain patterned paper. This rainbow effect just might be my favorite part of the layout!

Thanks for joining me today! I hope I have inspired you to document yourself! And remember, the Life in Color collection is available in thePaper Issues store! AND you can save 20% off of your ENTIRE PURCHASE when you use the code Tegan!!!! Have a great day and happy shopping!

Baby Girl Keepsake Box

Hello! Today I am excited to show off the new Carta Bella It’s a Girl collection. Sweet pinks, fresh green, and cute little critters make this my new favorite baby collection! It is just perfect for any type of baby girl project, whether it be layouts, cards, or gifts. I loved creating this cute little keepsake box for my niece!

I put two thick coats of cream paint onto a paper mache box I picked up at Hobby Lobby. I then covered the sides and top with various patterned papers. I adhered cream pleated Maya Road  ribbon around the sides of the box top using Glossy Accents. I love the unexpected texture it adds!

I embellished the box top with some thick green striped May Arts ribbon. I added a fun brad from the It’s A Girl collection in the middle of my bow.

I finished off the box with a cute little tag I cut out of the green and white floral print patterned paper. I layered coordinating patterned papers on top of my tag and finished it off with chipboard stickers, a brad, and green twine. I also added a cute little flower die as an embellishment on the bunny’s ear.

Thanks for joining me! I hope I have inspired you to create decorated boxes for your friends and family. This box was honestly so easy and fun to make! I can’t wait to make another!

Into the Woods Challenge at Paper Issues!

Today is the 2nd round of the Paper Issues Into the Woods Challenge! This challenge was about all things wood related. You could use wood grain patterned or make your project about the outdoors. Or you could use wood veneer pieces like I did on this layout! But the suggestions don't stop there! Head over to the Paper Issues Into the Woods Challenge blog post to check out all the details!

I used the fun Simple Stories tropical vacation inspired You Are Here collection, which I purchased from the Paper Issues online store! Find the collection here! Love the ephemera pieces!

This collection was perfect for documenting our trip to Hawaii! I also added a little Bella Blvd mini bow to my photo. I can not get enough of these cute little bow clips!

I wanted to really do something fun with the wood veneer pieces, so I made an entire row of them. I ended up using the entire package of wood veneer, but it was definitely worth it!

And I painted one wood veneer piece turquoise to stand out as my title. And then I finished off the wood veneer section with pop of color using the coordinating enamel dots. I love how it turned out!

Remember, you can find this collection in the Paper Issues store and you get 20% off your purchase when you use code Tegan! Shipping is always super fast! Happy shopping and have a great day!
