Mad for Plaid layout!

Hello! I am excited to share my new favorite layout with all of you! I love the rainbow effect on layouts. And I love it even more when it's rainbow plaid! I used the Bella Blvd Plaids and Dotty collection on this layout and I can't wait to use it again! I love that the plaids come in a variety of sizes as well.

I used the Bella Blvd Wish Big Girl embellishments and they match the plaid papers perfectly. I added journaling to the die cut speech bubbles and I added Illustrated Faith numbers to the Wish Big Girl balloon sticker. How cute is that?!?!

The plaid papers make a great simple background for my layout. They are fun and add a lot of pizzazz but they don't overwhelm the photo. I embellished this section with Bella Blvd Puffy Star Stickers, Wish Big Girl chipboard pieces, and Bella Blvd felt bow.

The chipboard words from the Wish Big Girl collection made it super easy to create this fun title! And just how adorable is that birthday hippo dancing on the words?!?

Thanks for joining me today! I hope I have inspired you to use the Bella Blvd Plaids and Dotty collection on your next layout!

Merry Christmas Mini Album

Happy December everyone! Today I am sharing a sweet little mini album I made with the fun and festive Bella Blvd Merry Christmas collection. I love the mix of traditional red and greens with the nontraditional navy, teal, and pink. I used a chipboard star album I had in my stash for the album base. I started by painting each chipboard page with acrylic paint. Notice when I finished the album, I punched holes in the Bella Blvd corrugated cardboard Heart Hugs and dangled them from the binder ring.

Once the chipboard stars were painted, I traced the chipboard star onto the Merry Christmas patterned papers. I trimmed the stars smaller than my traced image, so once I adhered them to the chipboard pages the paint border would be visible.

I love all of the fun patterns and elements in this Christmas collection! It doesn't take a lot of work to layer these embellishments to make cute pages. How adorable is that chipboard banner that says FUN?!?!

Christmas deer and trees and ornaments, oh my!

I love this album and can't help but keep flipping through it time and again! I can't wait to document more of my Christmas memories with this fun collection!

Thanks so much for joining me today! I hope I have inspired you to document your most recent Christmas memories using the Bella Blvd Merry Christmas collection

Fun with Mixed Media and Bella Blvd!

Hi everyone! I am excited to share this layout with you because I stepped outside of my comfort zone and used some mixed media techniques. I must admit I was really nervous because I don't usually use paints on my crafting projects. But you know what? I absolutely loved it and had so much fun!! And it was pretty easy! If I can do it, then so can you!

I started by covering my standard white cardstock with gesso and letting it dry. I then took a little bit of water and mixed it in with the aqua color Illustrated Faith watercolor paint. I used a sandwich bag to lightly spread the paint around on my background paper.

I then took the teal Illustrated Faith acrylic paint and dry brushed
over a stencil to give the background a little more detail. I really love how the background turned out!

And of course I had to use the Bella Blvd Sweet and Spooky collection even though Halloween is over! Aren't the little chipboard pumpkin and skeleton girl just the cutest?!?!

Notice how the gridded stencil and dry brushing give the background more interest. And again, I couldn't help but add more super fun chipboard shapes to my layout!

Thanks so much for joining me! I hope I have inspired you to continue to document your Halloween pictures! Have a great day!

Fun with Page Maps!

Hello! I had the opportunity to work with Page Maps this month using one of their design maps. I must admit I had never used a Page Map before. But you know what? I loved it! It gave me a new starting off point for my layout, but I still was able to make it all MINE! And of course I had to use the super fun Bella Blvd Merry Christmas collection!

The 8 1/2 x 11 Page Map I used. I can't wait to use more Page Maps in the future. I highly recommend them!

You can also find lots more Page Maps and inspiration HERE!
Have a great day!

Sweet and Spooky Mini Album Featuring Bella Blvd

Good day everyone! Today I am sharing a cute little mini album I created using my new favorite collection- Bella Blvd Sweet & Spooky! I am in love with the fun yet traditional color scheme and the adorable characters! I just returned from a family vacation from Disney World and this collection was perfect for documenting those Halloween time pics!

I started off by using my Silhouette machine and cardstock to cut out the pumpkin page bases. I used the Harvest Pumpkin cut file to cut the base pages and the patterned paper pages to about 6 inches wide. I then adhered them together. I then cut out just the stem and vine portions of the pumpkins and adhered those pieces in place.

I enjoyed embellishing the pages with the Sweet and Spooky chipboard pieces and ephemera bits. Isn't that chipboard with piece just the cutest?! I used the We R Memory Keepers typewriter for all of my journaling.

The variety of embellishments in this collection make it so easy to complete a project. I love the word ephemera that is offered - like the big BOO word bubble. I think the pirate skeleton chipboard piece steals the show though! Ha!

The 'Party This Way' die cut and chipboard lollipop were perfect accents for documenting our night at Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party!

Thank you for joining me today! I hope I have inspired you to document your last Halloween adventure!

Spooky Fun layout with Bella Blvd!

Good day everyone! Today I am sharing a layout made with my new favorite Halloween collection - the Bella Blvd Sweet and Spooky collection! I love the mix of teal and purple with the traditional Halloween orange and black.

I had so much fun fussy cutting out the spider webs! How cute are the googly eyes cut out and adhered to the chipboard candy treat?!?

More super cute googly eyes fussy cut out and strategically placed around the chipboard title words! I just can't get enough of this googly eye paper!

Also, how amazing is that black floral patterned paper?!? It is my favorite paper from this collection so of course I had to feature it on this layout!

Thanks so very much for joining me today! Take care!

Let's Talk Journaling!

Good morning! I have a confession to make.... I usually shy away from journaling on my layouts because I am not a big fan of my handwriting. Some days I like it and some days, well, I really don't. I really wanted to try out the Illustrated Faith Journaling Pens from Bella Blvd, so I decided to give it a shot. And you know what?!? I ended up really liking the journaling and plan on using these pens on more projects!

I started out repeating the phrase "A House is Not a Home Without a Dog" to make the background of my page. I first made hand drawn lines using the black journaling pen. I then added the journaling by alternating between the magenta, royal blue, and turquoise pens.

I used a combination of the Bella Blvd Mom Life and Island Escape collections. I love the colors on this layout! And how fun is that succulent die cut?!?

I love the artsy feel that the background journaling gives the page. I believe these pens were made with bible journaling in mind, but you can use them for any project!

Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope I have inspired you to get artsy on your next scrapbook layout!

Food Fun with Bella Blvd!

Hi there! Last Friday was National Eat Outside Day and it inspired me to document my latest trips to our county fair. I wanted the layout to be full of color so of course I reached for Bella Blvd supplies! I used a mix of Bella Blvd's Bug Explorer and Mom Life collections as well as the Illustrated Faith Delight in His Day collection

Usually the mix of patterns on top of patterns scares me, but I love how this title turned out! I will have to layer patterned paper over patterned papers more often! I used the FREE Lowercase Open Alpha cut file from the Paper Issues online store. Isn't it just the coolest?!? I cut the title out of white cardstock using my Silhouette machine and backed it with fun patterned papers. It was so easy!

I used a lot of the food embellishments from the Illustrated Faith Delight in His Day collection to complete my layout! How cute is that piece of candy!?

I completed the title with fun red Illustrated Faith alpha stickers and Bella Blvd's blue puffy heart stickers.

Thanks so much for joining me today! I hope I have inspired you to document your latest outdoors eating adventure!

Happy Creamsicle Day cards!

Hello everyone! My latest project was inspired by yesterday's National Creamsicle Day! I knew right away I wanted to make some little 3D creamsicles and they ended up being the perfect size for some summertime cards! And of course I had to use my favorite summer papercrafting collection - Island Escape from Bella Blvd!

I used the popsicle from the FREE Sun and Fun cut file from the Paper Issues online store to make my little warm weather treats. I first erased the popsicle stick portion of the cut file in my Silhouette software. After the popsicle tops were cut out, I used foam adhesive to adhere them to white cardstock so they would be 3D. I then trimmed little ends off of real popsicle sticks and adhered them to the bottoms.

I love the way the pink mini polka dot patterned paper looks in popsicle form. It reminds me of a strawberry frozen treat! And these little treasures were SO much fun to make!

I even made a few extra creamsicles to use as table scatter. I must say, these little embellishments are even cuter in person!

Thank you for joining me today! I hope I have inspired you to create little 3D popsicles for your next project!

Love and Smiles with Bella Blvd!

Good day everyone! I am super excited to be sharing my latest layout with you. I had so much fun mixing up a few Bella Blvd collections. I used the Bella Blvd Mom Life and Island Escape collections along with the Illustrated Faith All People All Nations collection. I love that all of the Bella Blvd collections mix and match so well!

My main goal was to make a cool focal point with the Bella Blvd Puffy Hearts. And what better way to do that then with a rainbow effect, right?! I first made banner strips from my favorite patterned papers and then cut a slice out of the middle so the puffy hearts would really pop against the white background.

I love all of the floral die cuts in the Illustrated Faith All People All Nations ephemera pack! I finished off my title with an Illustrated Faith word sticker (love) and some Illustrated Faith Homespun alphabet stickers. I love the mix of fonts!

Thanks for stopping in today! I hope I have inspired you to feature puffy heart stickers on your next layout!

Fun Mini Album!

Hello everyone! I am super excited to share my latest Bella Blvd creation with you! I love that Bella's collections are always so colorful- and the Bug Explorer collection is no exception! I first started by painting a Maya Road chipboard album with the Illustrated Faith Acrylic Paints. I painted only the edges in the white paint first and let the pages dry. I then painted over the white with the fun acrylic paint colors. I love how the colors pop!

The cover page actually has a peek through opening in it so you can see the main title on the second page. Isn't the little ant ephemera so cute?

I love all of the insect icons in this collection! This line is great for documenting any kind of outdoor activity. I documented my strawberry picking adventure with my hubby!

This collection is also great for documenting the super cool moth we had seen that morning while looking for strawberries.

I had so much fun embellishing the album with all of the spider and insect chipboard and ephemera pieces! I can't pick a favorite bug!

I love the 'insects you might find on an outdoor adventure' page that I made with the ephemera pieces! That spider is so cute!

Thank you so much for joining me today! I hope I have inspired you to document your next outdoor adventure!

Summer Fun with Bella Blvd!

Hello everyone! I can't say enough about the Bella Blvd Island Escape collection! The color palette is gorgeous and the graphics are amazing. I am in total love with this collection! I had a blast using it to document my favorite pair of sunglasses!

I used the SUPER FUN Sketch Alphabet cut file from the Paper Issues online store for my main title. It is super cool and it is FREE! Be sure to check it out!

I think all of the fruit graphics and floral printed patterned papers are so cool!

I also used the fun sun cut file from the Feels Like Summer cut file set from Paper Issues as well. It makes a perfect background for the rest of my layout. I finished off the page with the chipboard 'summer' from the Island Escape chipboard set.

Thanks for joining me today! I hope I have inspired you to document your favorite pair of shades! Stay cool everyone!
