Summer is All About Cool Treats!

Good day everyone! I am so happy to be showing off the fun summer themed Beach Day collection from Carta Bella Paper! I love Beach Day’s vibrant color palette! This collection is perfect for documenting any warm weather activity, such as family night at the local ice cream place! I just can’t get enough of the cute pineapples, popsicles, and flip flops! What is your favorite part of Beach Day?

To create my circular background elements, I used the fun new Scallop Circle Die Set. I used the larger die to cut out circles and scalloped circles from the royal blue patterned paper, the green solid paper, and the orange ombre paper. I then created a fun background design that would allow my embellishments to really stand out!

The coordinating sticker sheet includes this fun alphabet and adorable sunglass sticker. And, the matching enamel dots are the perfect accent to finish off the page!

I love that Beach Day also includes some everyday summer elements that I could use since I don’t go to the beach very often. And this white woodgrain patterned paper with the rainbow stripes that I used for the background is my favorite patterned paper in the collection. It just screams summer!

Isn’t this yellow and white striped flip flops sticker just the cutest? I just love embellishing the sticker elements with enamel dots!
Thanks for joining me. I hope I have inspired you to create your own summer layout and not just made you hungry for ice cream today!

Party Time Cupcake Toppers

Hello!  Today I am excited to show off the fabulous new Party Time collection! I couldn’t wait to make cupcake toppers out of this colorful collection. The Element Sticker sheet includes great images, so putting together these toppers was so easy and fun! And just wait until you see how I made the adorable coordinating cupcake coasters!

I first hand cut a few banner strips from patterned paper. I then used foam adhesive to layer different stickers over the banner strips. I love the dimension that the foam adhesive adds. I then adhered my main embellishment onto paper straws I had on hand. And of course, I couldn’t forget the enamel dots!

I adore all of the images from the sticker sheet. The phrases are just so fun and the cupcakes look delicious. I can’t wait to use these fun toppers at my next birthday party!

The cupcake coasters are so simple to make! I used the larger die from the Scallop Circle Die Set to cut a variety of circles and outer scalloped circles from patterned paper. I then took a scrap piece of cardstock and hand trimmed it to be just a little bit larger than my circle. I then adhered my circle directly in the middle.

I then adhered the scalloped circle to the outside of coaster and let it dry. And that’s it! So easy, but so fun! The coasters are now ready for cupcakes- lots of cupcakes!
Thanks for joining me. I hope I have inspired you to create your own cupcake toppers and coasters for your next party!

Fun with Fancy Pants!

Good day everyone! I am excited to share my latest layout using the fantastically fun Fancy Pants Attwell collection. I admit, the bright and bold colors intimidated me at first. But after working with this collection, I am in love with it! And it was perfect collection for a layout about my younger, fun loving sister who just happens to LOVE art! Find the Attwell collection in the Fancy Pants section of the Paper Issues store!

Ok, seriously, how cool are these multi color stickers from the Sticky Notes pack? The Sticky Notes are great because they just have a little bit of repositionable adhesive on the back so you can move them around and journal on them. Since you get a nice stack of each Sticky Note design, I was able to create this fun, artsy page design! They would also be great for use in planners as well! You can find the Sticky Notes in the Fancy Pants section.

I am so glad I picked up these great tags from the collection as well. They come in two different size packs and are great for layering. You can find the small Attwell tags and the large Attwell tags in the Paper Issues store in the Fancy Pants section here! The blue label I typed my journaling on is also from the Sticky Notes pack.

Sometimes when a product intimidates you, you just have to go for it. And I am so glad I did because this is now my new favorite layout. I can't wait to show it to my sister!

Thanks for joining me today!
And, remember, you get 20% off your entire purchase at the Paper Issues online store when you use the code Tegan!!!

Take 5 Tuesday at Paper Issues!

It's Take 5 Tuesday over on the Paper Issues blog and I had fun playing along! How it works is that once a month on Take 5 Tuesday, Paper Issues supplies a list of 15 prompts or items to use on a project. The task is just to pick 5 of those items- and have fun, of course! You can make a layout, card, or project. I chose to make a layout using the fun and colorful Attwell collection by Fancy Pants. You can find Attwell at the Paper Issues online store

Head over to the Paper Issues blog to get all of the details on how you too can play along!  I chose to use yellow, blue, patterned paper, washi tape, and a sticker for this layout.

This collection was so fun to work with. And the tags that coordinate with the collection make great layering pieces!

What does my sister do when she is late for class? Take a selfie of course. And, of course I had to document it!

I absolutely love embroidering on my layouts, so it's no wonder that I am in love with this title. It did take a little bit extra time, but it was well worth it!!

Thanks for dropping in! Have a great day everyone!

Fun with Echo Park's Petticoat collection!

Good day! Today I am featuring the gorgeous new Petticoats collection from Echo Park Paper.  And, oh my is this collection darling!  I just love the playful color palette.  It is just perfect for any girly project, card, or layout. I couldn’t wait to use it on this page of my little niece!

I used the ‘Simply Sweet’ phrase sticker as my titled. I layered it over the ‘she can do anything’ paper strip and the beautiful coordinating floral decorative tape. A couple enamel dots add a whimsical feel.

I love layering page elements such as patterned paper, decorative tape, photos, and chipboard shapes!

To make the background, I started with the white Carta Bella cardstock. I then cut four different colors of patterned paper into 2 inch squares. Then, I cut each square diagonally and adhered the squares in place. To finish the page, I layered my photos and embellishments in the corner to make one main page element.

I used my antique typewriter to journal on an ephemera piece. The fun chipboard banner, hanging lamp sticker, and enamel dots finish off the layout.

Thanks for joining me today. I hope you are loving the Petticoats collection as much as I do!
