Happy St. Patty's Day with Doodlebug!

Since it seems like photo party sticks are all the rage these days I made my own for St. Patty's Day using the Doodlebug Beer cut files! I then documented my photos using the brand new and very cheery Lots O' Luck collection! I love that this collection focuses on greens, but also has some rainbow elements mixed in to make it even more fun!

I stepped out of my comfort zone of solid white backgrounds and used the Doodlebug Citrus Floral-Graph patterned paper for my base. It coordinates perfectly with the collection and helps the white die cuts pop.

I started by adhering a section of the striped Rainbows End patterned paper to the top of my page. I also added a strip of the clover leaf Lots O' Luck patterned paper. I then embellished the top with lots of Odds & Ends pieces. An enamel cloud and a couple adorable enamel ladybugs finish off this section.

I then used a cut apart card from the Pot O' Gold patterned paper as a page element. I embellished around it with the St. Patrick's Day emblem sticker from the This and That Sticker Sheet and a little dancing leprechaun from the Icons Sticker Sheet. I then added the beer, rainbow, and unicorn Odds & Ends pieces. A couple Rainbow Hearts Shaped Sprinkles add the perfect little touch.

I had used my electronic die cut machine and the Doodlebug Design Beer-So Much Pun cut file to create my photo props. I am not even a huge beer drinker and I can not get over how darn cute these are! The 6x6 Gingham-Linen and Dot-Stripe Rainbow Petite Prints paper pads were perfect for creating my little beer glass and beer can, don't you think?!

Love 'Plane' and Simple

Like you, I really enjoy documenting photos of my loved ones. The Doodlebug Design French Kiss collection, though, makes it even more enjoyable! I just love the yummy mix of blues, pinks, and red and the characters are adorable. But let's not forget about the cute phrases like 'plane and simple' that are included, which I borrowed from the collection for my cute title!

I also am in love with the coordinating French Kiss cut files. Once I cut a few clouds from Doodlebug Seaglass colored cardstock, I knew I wanted to base my whole design around these  adorable fluffy clouds. And how perfect is that little French-inspired pilot (from the Odds & Ends pack) flying through the clouds?! I embellished the plane's tail with a heart sticker and added two white baby heart Sprinkles behind the pilot seat. Cute, right?! I used the graph side of the Bubblegum Floral-Graph Petite Prints patterned paper for my background and it was the perfect soft base color for this project.

I added the 'LOVE' Chit Chat piece to the main cloud and 'Be My Valentine' Chit Chat piece to my photo. Notice a couple of the cloud cut files have a heart shape on them that is cut out as well. You can see here where I backed it with the red tiny heart patterned paper. The navy polka dot patterned paper is one of my favorites of this collection!

The title is my favorite part of this layout because I love the adorable 'plane and simple' phrase. And the small pilot gal sticker is the perfect size for this cloud. It's actually from the Mini Icons sticker sheet. Not only are the Mini Icons perfect for calendars and planners, but for layouts as well! And of course I had to add a baby heart Sprinkle to her plane. I completed the title using some of the Ladybug Teensy Type alphabet stickers

Thanks for joining us today! I hope I have inspired you to grab some of the adorable French Kiss collection and document your loved ones. Plane and simple, right?

Live Love Bark with Doodlebug Design

I am head over heels for the Doodlebug Design French Kiss collection! I love the pretty florals, the adorable plaids, and the super cute pooches! The coordinating Doodlebug cut files are great too because you can cut them to just about any size. Here I used the dog cut file and made him big enough so he would stand out and take the place of the large 'O' in my title. I love that he is sitting on the paper 'ledge' and takes center stage. I can barely stand the cuteness!

Layering embellishments is one of my favorite things to do in scrapbooking. Here I layered a hot air balloon Odds & Ends piece over a This & That sticker strip and piece of Special Delivery washi tape. I added another layer with a couple clouds from the Odds & Ends pack. I finished off the hot air balloon with a couple Limeade Sprinkles. I used Seaglass Textured Cardstock for my main background.

I started out my title with Bubblegum colored Skinny Stickers. I then used my Silhouette Cameo to die cut the rest of my title out of my favorite patterned papers from the 6x6 French Kiss paper pad. And, seriously, how cute is this little dog cut file?! I love cut files with a few layers, like this one here. I was easily able to give the dog character by cutting out a couple different brown polka dot papers from the 6x6 Dot-Stripe Petite Prints pad. The L, V, and E were cut out using the FREE Sketch Alphabet from the Paper Issues online store. Bark was cut out using the Ballerina Sketch font from the Silhouette Studio online store.

I framed my photo with the backside of the Navy Dot patterned paper. I have always loved red and blue postal stripes and this one is great! I finished my layout with a floral Odds & Ends piece and a word bubble from the Chit Chat pack.

Thank you for joining us! I hope I have inspired you to document your favorite furry friend using the French Kiss collection!

Love You to the Max with Bella Blvd

Hi everyone! Today I am excited to share my newest layout with you. My favorite layouts are usually ones that have a rainbow design and this one is no exception! I love the fact that the Bella Blvd Heart Hugs corrugated cardboard stickers come in so many different colors. I was able to easily add a rainbow of them to my project! I also love that all of the Bella Blvd collections easily coordinate with one another. I pulled pieces from the Wish Big Boy, Wish Big Girl, Plaids and Dotty, and Island Escape collections for this project!

I started this design by using my Silhouette die cut machine to cut out the main design piece using the Love Meter cut file from the Silhouette Design Store. I then cut that into sections and hand traced and cut out those individual sections onto patterned papers of different colors. I then added the Heart Hugs in coordinating colors above the meter. I enjoy using different textures on my projects, so I love that the Heart Hugs are corrugated cardboard and they add fun dimension! The cool thing about the Heart Hug packs is that they also contain matching enamel dots, which I also embellished my meter design with. The chipboard frog is from the Wish Big Boy collection and the light pink florals are from the Island Escape collection. The multicolor phrase stickers are from the Word Salad Sticker Book. Super fun, right?

I can't get enough of the Plaids and Dotty patterned papers. They make great backgrounds without being overwhelming. I embellished my photo with a Bella Blvd felt bow and, of course, another Heart Hug!

I created my title section by starting with a square of dark blue patterned paper from the Wish Big Boy collection. I embellished that with Punch colored Puffy Alphabet Stickers and Orange and Pickle Juice colored Puffy Star Stickers. And what did I finish it off with but another adorable Heart Hug!

Thanks for joining me today! I hope I have inspired you to make a fun design using Heart Hugs on your next project!
