Party Cupcake Mini Album

I couldn't wait to document my niece's last birthday using the brand new Hey Cupcake collection. The darling color combo just screams birthday fun! The collection also includes super fun graphics like lollipops, candy pieces, pinatas, and more!
I used the Doodlebug So Much Pun - Cupcake and Candles Cut File to create the mini album base. I resized the cupcake to 6 1/2 inches tall and cut out 15 cupcake bases out of white cardstock. I adhered these together in groups of 3 to end up with 5 thicker cardstock pages.
Using one of the page bases as a guide, I hand drew a little bit smaller cupcake image. I hand cut this out and used it as a template to make the patterned paper page backgrounds. (If you don't want a white cardstock border on your pages you can omit this step.) I then used the amazing brand new Doodlebug Nesting Scallops Doodle Die to cut out about 12 scalloped circles to mix and match.
I used the journaling card from the back side of the Sundae Stripe Patterned Paper to tell my story. We had celebrated my niece's 6th birthday at Disney World. A stop at The Crystal Palace was just one of the little celebrations we had. I embellished this page with Icons Stickers and a banner piece from the Odds & Ends pack.

I made all of my photos 2" x 3" and with a small white border they fit perfectly in the journaling card from the Sundae Stripe Patterned Paper. I also had cut apart the Nesting Scallops cut outs in to little sections. Did you notice I tucked a little piece of it underneath the hearts? I love how it adds just a little aqua accent to the page!
I think the Nesting Scallop cut outs make perfect anchoring pieces for my photos. I love the mix of circular elements with the rectangular photos.
Hey Cupcake has so many adorable graphics, I had to include a couple pages without photos. I mean isn't that little piƱata Icons Sticker perched above the Happy Birthday die cut piece just the cutest?!
I embellished this page with two scalloped circles from the Nesting Scallops Doodle Die Set. I used some Bright Assortment Matte Sprinkles to embellish the Happy Birthday emblem. I just love this plaid patterned paper, don't you?
I also love all of the tiny stickers on the Icons Stickers sheet! They helped me to add lots of little details to my page here.
On the last page, I used one of the Scalloped Circle cut outs underneath the Happy Birthday sticker. And that adorable llama patterned paper might be one of my favorites from this collection!
Thank you for joining me today! I had a blast using the brand new Hey Cupcake collection and Nesting Scallops Die Set! hope I have inspired you to grab some of these for your next mini labum or project!

Egg Hunt Mini Album!

I am having so much fun playing along with the monthly Bella Blvd Mood Boards! I love that April's board is filled with pretty spring colors and lots of Easter accents!
And I had so much fun incorporating the brand new Bella Blvd Spring and Easter cut files in to my project. For starters, I thought the Sweet Sweet Spring Easter Egg Cut File would make an 'egg-cellent' (pun intended) mini album! I was inspired by the layers in the cake to make my album cover a layer of pink, aqua, and yellow. I used the Graph and Dot Patterned Papers in Ice, Bell Pepper, and Punch. Isn't that mini polka dot cut file design on the background so cool?! I used a flower from the Bella Blvd Halloween Flowers cut file to anchor my title.
I used the new Bella Blvd Carrots Cut File to create the journaling page at the beginning of the album. I had so much fun putting these sweet little carrots together. Aren't they the cutest?!
I used mostly the Squeeze the Day collection, but I pulled from other collections as well. Here I used a floral chipboard sticker from the Let's Go On An Adventure collection. All of the Bella Blvd collections mix and match so well!
I really enjoyed creating this egg shaped album for a change. It was fun working with the shaped pages and the circular photos I ended up using.
On this page, I mixed and matched the Squeeze the Day and Wish Big Girl collections. I then finished off the page with fun Puffy Star Stickers. Did you notice all of the rainbows I used? Those were inspired by the mood board as well! And how appropriate since Easter eggs come in a rainbow of colors!
And of course I had to include a bunny, especially since there was some on the mood board! The new Bunny Side Cut File makes the sweetest little page accent, don't you think?!
And the Word Salad phrase stickers are great for embellishing pages with pops of color.
Even though the Squeeze the Day collection isn't Easter themed, I had no problem creating this Easter mini album! The collection is super fun and with the cut files I was able to easily add in some Easter accents!
Thank you for joining me today! I hope I have inspired you to use the April Mood Board, the Squeeze the Day collection, and the new Bella Blvd Cut Files on your next Easter project!

Easter Egg Hunt Layout

Hippity Hoppity Easter is on it's way! And what better way to celebrate than to grab some of the Doodlebug Hoppy Easter collection! I love the bright colors in this collection and the little critters are just the cutest!! I started this layout by using the fun Doodlebug Design Jelly Beans Cut File to create a fun background design. I then backed the jelly beans with some of the more solid papers from the collection.

I anchored my photo with a few of my favorite Hoppy Easter patterned papers. I then embellished my photo with a butterfly Icons Sticker, a This & That Sticker, and an ephemera die cut speech bubble.
I used the Doodlebug Design Chick in Eggs Cut File, Doodlebug cardstock, and Hoppy Easter Patterned Papers to create this adorable page element. Isn't he just the cutest?!
I created my title using a This & That Sticker, an Ephemera Die Cut word, and the Abigail Alphabet Stickers in Tangerine. And of course I had to add the adorable bunny die cut jumping over it!
I hope you love this colorful jelly bean background as much as I do! I can't wait to take more Easter pictures this year so I can use the Hoppy Easter collection again!
Thanks for joining me today! I hope I have inspired you to grab some adorable Doodlebug Design Cut Files and the Hoppy Easter collection for your next layout!

You Layout with Bella Blvd

I absolutely love how colorful and fun the Bella Blvd Squeeze the Day collection is! And how cool is it that this collection includes the color BLACK?! I already loved making rainbow designs on my layouts, but I think creating this effect on a black background makes the colors pop even more!
I used the black graph Squeeze the Day Daily Details Patterned Paper for my background. I embellished the top of the page with an Ephemera rainbow, Word Salad Stickers, Puffy Star Stickers, and a couple enamel dots. So simple, but oh so pretty!
I used the heart shape from the Bella Blvd You're So Sweet Cut File to make my background. I just resized the heart to almost an inch tall in my design software and then copied and pasted the hearts to make a diagonal design. After the design was cut, I backed it with some of my favorite patterned papers from the Bella Besties and Squeeze the Day Collections.
This colorful picture of my sister from last spring's Flower and Garden Festival in Epcot was definitely inspiration for the entire layout. I embellished the photo with an Ephemera die cut word and tags, an acrylic strawberry piece, and Puffy Star Stickers. I used the Bella Blvd Halloween Flowers Cut File and the Plum Graph and Dot Patterned Paper to cut out the large flower.
I almost talked myself out of trying the black background, but I am so glad I didn't! I was afraid the black would be too dark for a spring layout, but I really love how all of the colors pop against it! I hope you love it as much as I do!
Thank you for joining me today! I hope I have inspired you to grab some of the Bella Blvd Squeeze the Day and Bella Besties collections for your next layout!
