Little Moments wth Elle's Studio!

Is everyone getting out and enjoying the summer weather? I have been! I snapped this super cute photo of my sister and my niece this past weekend and couldn't wait to use it on a layout. I used the Elle's Studio Little Moments collection because it is cute and sweet- just like my photograph! I see this collection is now unfortunately sold out of the Paper Issues store, but you can still grab the newest Elle's Studio collection called Sunny Days!

I love all of the tags that Elle's Studio offers with their collections- they make creating a layout so easy! And I just can not get enough of those cute little Bella Blvd bow clips, which are still available in the store! Be sure to check them out before they are gone.

I used the free Falling Stars cut file from the Paper Issues store to make my star cut out. I just deleted all but one star and then enlarged that star to how large I wanted it. This photo was snapped right before the carousel started at our county's fair. I just love their expressions!

One can never have too many tags or wood veneer bits! They help to add color and dimension to a layout. The Paper Issues store still has some labels and wood veneer bits from the Elle's Studio Sunny Days collection- which are super cute as well!
Thanks for stopping by! And remember, you can get 20% off your entire purchase at the Paper Issues store when you use the code Tegan. Happy shopping and have a great day!

The Dog Days of Summer!

Who is enjoying the dog days of summer right now? The new Happy Summer collection from Echo Park is great for documenting all kinds of summer activities from picnics to just enjoying the nice weather! And the images in this collection are just adorable. When I saw the cute little dog sticker, I knew I just had to use it on a layout!

The bird on the branch chipboard piece is so sweet and a perfect little accent piece for the top corner of my page. The Summer Adventures stamp set is a must-have as well. It includes super cute images and phrases like the one I used here.

Embroidery floss is one of my favorite accents to add to layouts. Here I wrapped matching embroidery floss around the cloud stickers to give them a little dimension. And the adorable kite is from the Summer Adventures stamp set as well! I used the Carta Bella Natural White cardstock as my background paper and my stamped image looks beautiful on it!

This card that I trimmed from the Journaling Card patterned paper has the perfect phrase on it for this layout. I accented it with a couple enamel dots and a chipboard flower. I also wrapped the layered floral sticker with embroidery floss and added an enamel dot to it. I think these accents add a fun touch!
I just couldn’t resist using “The Dog Days of Summer” for my title! I used a combination of alphabet stickers, dog sticker, and word sticker (summer). For the exclamation point, I used the letter “I” for the top and the little heart sticker for the bottom.

Thanks for joining me today! I hope I have inspired you to document one of your favorite summer activities! And be sure to check out the Happy Summer collection!

Gleam Catchers Challenge at Paper Issues!

I had so much fun playing along with the Paper Issues Gleam Catchers challenge! I love playing along with the Paper Issues challenges because they are so inspiring! To play participate, you just have to create a project inspired by the suggested theme. This month's suggestions included stars, anything shiny, dreamcatchers, southwestern theme, and 4th of July. I included a jumbo cardstock star element and sprinkled in lots of adhesive sequins from Jillibean Soup.

I of course had to use the Little Moments collection from Elle's Studio because I love it so much! I seriously can not get enough of the rainbow colored Jonah labels and alphabet stamp that coordinates with this collection. How perfect is that font?

I then die cut a large gray cardstock star from cardstock paper and used it as my layout's focal point. It was a great place to put my title, which I cut out using the Mistral font and my Silhouette Cameo.

Be sure to head over to today's Paper Issues Gleam Catchers blog post to see how you too can play along! Their challenges are always great and are helpful when you feel the need for inspiration.
Thanks for joining me today!

Take 5 Tuesday at Paper Issues!

Good day everyone! I am excited for another issue of Take 5 Tuesday over on the Paper Issues blog! I had a blast playing along with this month's issue! And it is so easy to play along! You just pick 5 of the scrappy options from the list to include in your papercraft project and that's it! Be sure to head over to their blog to see how you too can play along! I used the color white, the color blue, chipboard, patterned paper, and polka dots from this month's fun list!

I used the brand new and super fun Carta Bella Paper Beach Day collection for my layout! I love all of the summer icons this line has! I added a couple jeweled brads to this fun chipboard sticker!

This collection is perfect for everything summer- especially photos at the beach!

And who can pass up a cute Volkswagon Beetle type car with a surfboard on top? Not me!

'Super' Project Featuring Echo Park Paper

Good day! Today I have a fun project for you using the new Superhero mini collection from Echo Park Paper! This collection was a blast (pun intended!) to work with and it has great images that boys will love! And the superheroes are just so cute!

I used my Silhouette Cameo to first cut out the base and foldable inserts of my 3D project from red cardstock. The wreath Christmas box card cut file is by Lori Whitlock for Silhouette. I just cut the file as normal and then trimmed the side portions off the wreaths so only tabs remained. I then adhered my stickers on to these tabs.

There are so many uses for this little project! Since it is a card, it can easily be folded down and mailed. Reassembly is actually very easy! I can also see this on a little boy’s bedroom dresser. And how cute would this be at a superhero themed birthday party? I added an enamel dot from the Carta Bella Yacht Club collection to his belt for a little dimension.

Not only does the mini collection contain this fun blue patterned paper, it also includes a great coordinating stripe. Be sure to check out the Superhero mini collection to see the remaining fun patterned papers and stickers!
Thanks for joining me! I hope I have inspired you to incorporate some superheroes into your next project!
