Vacation Mode Layout with Doodlebug Design

I have always loved postage stamps! And so I couldn't wait to do something cool with the Doodlebug Design I Heart Travel collection postage stamp patterned paper called Scenic Spot. Come take a look!
I started by using the Sunshine Cardstock for the border and the red on red I Heart Travel Love This Patterned Paper for my background. I then cut apart a number of the postage stamp images from the Scenic Spot Patterned Paper and started building a block design. I added some fun Mini Icons Stickers and ephemera pieces with foam adhesive too!
I embellished the top of my photo with an ephemera cloud diecut, an Icons Sticker airplane, and a couple adorable cloud Hello Sunshine epoxy stickers. I added Teensy Type alphabet numbers in Ladybug to the 'Vacation To Remember' This & That Sticker. I created my title with a Chit Chat Ephemera Piece and Beetle Black Abigail Alphabet Stickers. And the Mini Icons Stickers make cute little accent pieces!
I purposely didn't add patterned papers on this layout because I wanted the postage stamp design to take center stage. All of the stamps are just so darn cute! I don't know if I can pick a favorite one, can you?
Thank you for joining me today! I hope I have inspired you to use the I Heart Travel collection and Scenic Spot Patterned Paper on your next layout!

Some Days My Craft Room is... Layout

This week is all about our favorite things, so I thought it would be cool to document my love of crafting! I started with the adorable Bella Blvd Home Sweet Home collection but I had fun mixing and matching in a couple other Bella Blvd collections too. I love that the Bella Blvd collections easily work together so well!
I used the light pink side of the Wish Big Girl Party Animal patterned paper as my background because I wanted my houses to really stand out. I used the background image of the Bella Blvd Happy House cut file and my electronic die cut machine to cut out the houses in different fun colors. (I did widen the house in my design software to accommodate all of the words in my title.) And I love the whimsical feel that the Florence Alphabet stickers give to the page!
My goal was to make the houses as colorful as I could! I used more simple patterns for the front of the houses so the alpha stickers could be easily read. I used the more involved patterned papers as a background to each house to add more color. I adorned the houses with ephemera pieces and chipboard stickers from the Home Sweet Home collection and some Puffy Stars stickers.

Since the Florence Alphabet Stickers come in so many awesome colors, I was able to create a very colorful title! And the Word Salad Stickers are prefect for adding little phrases and pops of color around a page.
I used the tree image from the Bella Blvd Family Frenzy House 1 Cut File and the green Splash Zone Summer Scramble patterned paper to make a couple of greenery pieces. I tucked these behind the yellow house and my photo. Isn't that little ephemera butterfly fluttering around the page just the cutest?!
Thank you for joining me today! I hope I have inspired you to grab your favorite Bella Blvd collections and document your crafty space!

Bella Blvd February Mood Board Inspiration!

I had so much fun using the Bella Blvd February Mood Board as inspiration for today's layout! Isn't the board just gorgeous?!

I decided to use the 9 square design as my main page design. I then used the heart from the Bella Blvd Tree Hearts Cut File to cut out hearts from different red, pink, white, and black patterned papers. All of the different hearts allowed me to play with all of the ideas I had from the mood board!
I pulled a lot of the products, like this Acrylic Strawberry piece, from the yummy Squeeze the Day collection. For the bottom heart, I used the pink heart Sweetness Washi tape over a Bella Besties patterned paper to create my own pink and dark pink striped look like in the mood board. A red Heart Hug adds dimension.
The 'Love' ephemera piece and the hearts I fussy cut out of patterned paper are both from the Squeeze the Day collection too. I only adhered down the middle of the hearts so I could bend the sides upwards. Again, this look was inspired by the mood board!
The X's and O's were in the mood board too and I surely couldn't leave those out! I used the adorable Florence alphabet in Cotton Candy! The Puffy Star Stickers and Word Salad Stickers make great little embellishment pieces!
I also pulled the ombre inspiration from the mood board. When I came across these Squeeze the Day chipboard  flower stickers, I knew I had to include them as well! So simple, but so cool!

I was very much inspired by the painted X's and O's look in the mood board, but I wasn't sure if I could paint the letters small enough on a heart this small. Here I used a Sharpie pen to hand write on this plain cardstock heart and I love how it turned out! I embellished it with a cherry Squeeze the Day ephemera piece.
I love each and every one of these little hearts and I can't decide which one is my favorite! I can't wait to use a mood board for a project again!
Thanks for joining me today! I hope I have inspired you to use the February Mood Board for your next project!

Fun with Doodlebug Design Love Notes!

I am head over heals for the new Doodlebug Design Love Notes collection! I couldn't wait to use it again to document some more of my favorite pictures of my favorite guy and pooch! I love all of the fun colors and floral pieces!
I first used the heart shape from the Doodlebug Design French Kiss Box of Chocolates cut file to create my main background heart 7.8 inches tall. I then resized hearts to 1.3 inches and 0.7 inches tall, copied and pasted them, and then moved them around inside the big heart to create my own fun design. After I cut out the shape, I then backed the hearts with different colored patterned papers. I love how the colors popped against the beautiful soft gray wood background patterned paper!
I used the Chit Chat words, Odds & Ends pieces, and Mini Icons Stickers to easily create a cute title. I embellished the heart design with a mix of the Odds & Ends pieces and embellished them with round and little heart shaped Sprinkles. Here I used Ladybug Doodle Twine to add some adorable texture to the inside of the Odds & Ends flower.
I embellished my photos with more Odds & Ends pieces, Mini Icons Stickers, and This & That Stickers. Since I included a pic of my pooch on this layout, I also had to add the Love Pug Doodle Pop from the French Kiss collection! I also added a Bumblebee Doodle Twine center to the floral die cut piece.
The Doodle Twine flower centers were SO EASY to make because I used the Delightful Dots Washi Tape as my template for perfect little circles! I put a piece of the dot washi on a piece of scrap paper. I then put a small piece of Red Line Adhesive Tape over my dot. Once you remove the red tape backing, it exposes the clear adhesive so you can see the dot! I then just started in the middle and wound the twine around the dot and then cut it out! Pretty cool, right?
I love how this layout turned out! I love all of the floral pieces against the rainbow heart design!

Thanks for stopping in today! I hope I have inspired you to grab some of the Love Notes collection (and maybe create a couple Doodle Twine flower accents too) for your next layout!
